There is actually a such thing called a Divorce Party...my wife friend just got a divorce from her husband and they are throwing a actual party(girls only) ... and if that’s not weird enough people are actually buying gifts to said party... sad world we live in today

I was dating a girl when my divorce was final (divorces take a long time). She asked me if I was going to have a divorce party. I asked why in the world would I be celebrating the failure of a marriage. I think she was actually bothered by my lack of enthusiasm.

Sounds a little cringey to me.
I just went and had drinks/dinner with a gf of mine this past Friday after signing final papers to submit to court. Wasn’t really about celebrating. Just having something to do and be with a friend so I didn’t just go home after to sit alone and cry on my couch (which I still did after I got home cause I was now drunk and emotional).
