I'm sure your child does quite well at Episcopal as well . Some kids need the structure of having all their decisions made for them by adults and aren't able to do well when faced with people who may challenge the prevailing view or current wisdom. These children tend to have parents who need to make their world as small as possible so as to exert maximum control over it. They value decorum over individual creativity or expression and so need to go somewhere where they are given a stricter set of rules to operate with. " Rules people" - HOA enforcer types , finger- waggers, helicopter parents. But then you know all that already, so I digress...

You know Episcopal schools are more liberal than Catholic schools?

Chalmette has come along way so you may be right concerning Slidell being an equal. Northshore is a different level. I will say that the Chalmations I've met have generally been good people. Being a "hey bra" doesn't make you a bad person, but a wanna be thug "hey bra" is another story.

What I have learned from this thread is you better cut that 15k per child check and send them to Episcopal or you hate your gay , neck - tat , SJW kids. And music sucks because football and cheerleading rules.
The OT never fails.

Niche.com gives all that info
Niche.com isn't actual data. It's self-reported, unverified data from anyone who chooses to post. I could go there right now and post that I went to Tara last year and got a 36 on the ACT and it would record it.
No school in Louisiana averages a 29 or 30 on the ACT. Ben Franklin had the highest in 2017 with a 28.1.
In Baton Rouge, Catholic High had the highest average last year with a 26.1 (Episcopal does not publish their ACT average anywhere I could find.)

Yeah I was educated by the Episcopalians.I know all about their Uber-materialistic Prog theology . Just like I know all about the Baptist prosperity theology. Both only slightly less depressing than the SJW public school theology.

I agree with that edit minus public school (theology)

If your kids are in the public schools you may find that you have to be vigilant against SJW " theology " that you disagree with. I have to walk my kids through all kinds of stuff - basic Cultural Marxism 101 stuff or more commonly just Institutional intolerance towards traditional views and Constitutional principles.
Here's the deal though - kids get hit with that EVERYWHERE as it is culturally pervasive. And it provides the perfect opportunity to institute that Socratic method parenting I mentioned earlier . Let them walk you through it and have them defend their assumptions. Hopefully , if they make valid arguments, you acknowledge them as well. And if not, you hit them with the facts. That's how we do it in my gay, neck-tatted apparently gay and lesbian non- private school because we are depriving our kids of an Episcopal education-family .

My child did 10 years at an Episcopal school and I disagree with that. In fact, I was short sighted in agreeing with your other post,
Not sure why you are so pissed off at the Episcopal schools but what I saw was a blend of liberal and conservative values and very strong Christian values.
Your current position is based off of public schools and this is the very reason why we don't send our child to one.

Well good for you , I congratulate you on making what you believe is the best choice for your kids. Sending your kids where you think is best is the whole point of all my comments. I wouldn't send mine to Episcopal because of the over the top crass materialism and the social pressure uniformity. The in- the-box Baton Rouge sameness bores me to tears, it's that small town provincialism that annoys me. Now congratulate me on my choice.

Because New Orleans is a shithole of festering social pathologies ?

So much BS in this thread, which is expected. To answer the OP, in NOLA Ben Franklin is by far the best public school in the state for academics. There really cannot be any serious debate. Haynes, Thomas Jefferson and Lusher are also very good. None of them are decent at sports though Franklin is good at soccer, tennis and volleyball.
