Looking to get a new trimmer after about 15 years of using my current one. Looking for something that trims extremely precise and close to skin. Opinions are appreciated.

For clarification, I am not looking for a shaver.

Damn - I’ve never came close to getting one to last that long.

There are some really crappy ones available. The best I’ve found lately is the Wahl Lithium Ion +.

Its only lasted that long bc I shave my face then use it for less than a minute to even my sideburns and trim my goatee. Problem is it doesnt really trim all that precise these days, hence why I want a new one.

Yeah, those sold at Walmarks, Walgreens, et al are not professional grade tools. Their blades tend to dull fairly quickly.

Wahl has worked plenty fine for me.

Corded Wahl. Every time I went to trim the beard the battery would die in any recharge model. I’d have to make do with scissors or charge it overnight and finish in the morning. Plus the corded model is more powerful and precise. Typically use a 4 or 6 guard depending on time of year. It has a wide blade and gives a clean line on top and bottom of the beard. And my wife cleans up my neck with it every couple of weeks.

Wahl makes a good product. Best thing they have going is exceptional battery life. Cutting blades are decent.

ConAir used to make a trimmer that was badass. Nowadays the only place I can find them is on Amazon and they’re counterfeits.

I use a Brio. Best beard trimmer I've ever owned.

Nope nothing electric around the boys. Once a razor blade reaches a month of use, it gets relegated to down under duty.

My 2003 Norelco beard and mustache trimmer is still going strong. I’ve never had to replace it.

I have the wahl stainless steel trimmer for two years and it has been great. Either my wife or stepdaughter managed to drop it on some hard flooring and broke the removable head and a piece off of it but it cost me about 15 to get a new one.
