We grew up drinking Rolling Rock, Old Vienna splits, and Coors Light beer balls.

I call BS. It's the one to have when you're having more than one! At least that's what the ads used to tell me.

Anyone else used to drink Stroh's back in the day? I haven't seen that around anywhere in about 25 years.

Growing up in Western PA, Rolling Rock was always fresh and tasted great. Iron City was god awful, but Iron City Light was the go to for cheap and decent.

Hamm's and PBR are the exact same beer in a different can. Molson Coors contract brews PBR. When they fill their quota of PBR cans they fill Hamm's cans.

I haven’t tried Hamms, but Lone Star is also contract brewed by Molson Coors but has a different taste than PBR, Miller etc

Hamms is pretty good although I’ve never seen it in stores.

Coors does this with Keystone Light as well. It's just "out of spec" Coors Light; the first and last stuff out of the vat. The consistent stuff in the middle gets to be Coors Light.

Did the Coors tour a while back and they weren't shy about admitting that.

This is a trite response. Typical.

Hamm's is good as hell but not around too much.

Agreed. I can get it at the grocery store here in St Louis. We normally go with Stag, High Life, and Busch (or Busch Lite) as our volume drinkers. I don't think Stag is available everywhere, but it's damn good.

The bigger question is who is drinking enough actual horse piss to identify the similarities? And if one is regularly consuming horse piss I'm not quite sure how credible their opinion of taste is.

Coors is what it is. If I'm looking to impress my craft beer friends who ridicule "wine snobs"...while acting the exact same way, only about beer, then Coors isn't in the rotation. But it is an easy-drinking inexpensive beer that is just fine for knocking a few back on a hot day by the pool or resting after cutting the grass.

Of the big time macro brews, it's easily the worst to me. Miller Lite, Bud Heavy, Bud Light all better.

Miller genuine draft

I know they quit making it a while back so I googled and apparently they just reintroduced it in north America last year. I'll have to see if I can find some because my go to cheap beer has always been High Life. MGD had fallen out of popularity by the time I started drinking beer back in the day so I never got to try it that I can remember.

I miss Bud Dry

ETA: And Michelob. Those foil wrappers (along with Old Forester) remind me of my late grandpa. R.I.P. Papa
