Y'all are making me think back to my college days of Schaefer, Olympia, and Stroh's. Considering I would actually drink those when I was running low on funds, I don't think I can legitimately provide any "best" cheap beer advice in this thread. I have obviously done something horrible to my taste buds in my earlier years. The best cheap beer from my memories of days long past has got to be Dixie.

(My apologies for barging in on this thread to reminisce. Carry on. Y'all have some fine recommendations.)

Falstaff, but it's getting harder to find these days.

Coors light. Nothing hits the spot better after mowing or yard work in summer heat. The right amount of bland and carbonation. And its not just the taste, its the feel when it hits the back of your mouth when you're parched. Just better than water or any heavier beers in that situation.

Schlitz is still around and it's ok, but when it comes out in its "60s formula" it's better. Slightly more hops.

Mickey's Wide Mouth. Put 2 or 3 in freezer/ice chest just before yardwork on a hot day, guzzle them down, take a nap in chaise lounge on the deck.
