I thought JBE was supposed to announce what parishes are eligible to open bars today? What happened?

The Metro-Council is going to vote at 4 pm on it but SWB is apparently recommending it. The only reason she's sending it to the M-C is so she can blame them for a spike in cases if that happens. If she was worth a shite, she would just open them up.

Health experts say the percentage is one measure of viral spread but also an indicator of the penetration of testing efforts into the community. All things being equal, increased testing should lead to lower positivity rates as long as the rate of viral spread isn't increasing.

All that free testing

And they still aren't allowed to sell to-go drinks from bars.

She is actively, and single-handedly choosing to prevent economic activity despite meeting all required health-related criteria.

Parishes are doing it as they become eligible
It’s EBR’s turn

quote:

The Cadillac, Ice House Taproom, Mango’s Daiquiris and Top Ten Social Club are all closed in East Baton Rouge. Exact reasons for the closures weren’t given, but they could fall under several factors, including too many people, lack of masks, serving alcohol too late, or having live music.

quote:

When re-opened, bars will be able to open at 25 percent capacity, up to 50 people, indoors for customers seated for tableside service.
They may have no more than 50 customers outdoors, socially distanced, seated for tableside service.
No live music will be allowed.
All drinks must be ordered at the table and delivered by bar staff to the table.
Sale and service of alcohol at bars, when they reopen, must end at 10 p.m., with all patrons cleared from the building by 11 p.m.
When re-opened, no one under the age of 21 is permitted in any bar.

*Above times have been extended by 1 hour
