When "Jennifer" and "Dance" appear in the same sentence, my mind automatically goes to Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing.
She looked so much better before the nose job. Why women ruin themselves with cosmetic surgery is something I will never understand. She's still attractive but she was a real eyecatcher before.

There were many decent and attractive girls growing up in the last 20 years but too many young dudes who no longer longer had "a decent game talking to a girl" because they are too busy playing video or now making AI deepfake nudes of the girls. My daughter was very smart and attractive but none of the boys had the balls to politely approach her and actually ask her out.
There are University Campuses actually demanding guys seek and obtain explicit permission at each point rounding the bases in a rendezvous. Nonetheless, guys are expected to be the initiators. They are expected to ask the girl, no matter how humiliating the process is made to be.
It is a completely different paradigm than in the past. The cancelling of "Baby It's Cold Outside" from the mid-1940's bears witness to the current insanity.
Further, if a couple gets blitzed at a party, and she drags him into an empty bedroom for a go at some cowgirl rodeo, the next morning when she realizes someone took pictures of their foray, she screams "rape!" In response, he's considered guilty until proven innocent.
Guys simply don't want the hassle, or the potential criminality. So they just say screw it. I don't need this. I'm outta here.

I understand that sexual relations became a bit of a minefield to navigate, but that is a different scenario. My comment was prompted by the fact that my daughter and her attractive friends did not even get asked to the prom or a movie date. Most of the guys their age were completely inept socially, and those who thought they had game were recognized as "playas" and blacklisted by the smart girls. Actual dating can lead to an understand of who the other person is and their attitudes about developing a relationship. Far different than a drunken hookup that "someone took pictures of".

It is a situation where dating habits had been more or less stable for centuries.
Feminists stepped in to correct the process with new rules "empowering" girls to make all decisions while boys were/are expected to humiliate themselves repeatedly in the process of pursuit.
But when boys abide those rules, voila! Girls find them unattractive and pathetic.
