I should have refinanced agin. Locked in at 30 year 3.25%. Oh well.

At least that’s one thing that is (was) better than when my parents bought.

Say goodbye to McMansions and Forever Homes. Good riddance. It’s time for the American middle class to start saving money again instead of living faux rich on long term credit.

Maybe they will start building 1500 sq ft 3/2 homes with cheap counters and builder grade fixtures again, you know the houses people earning under 100k shoulda been buying all along

20 years ago that was a great rate. Free money can't last forever. You Millennials need some perspective.

I bought my first house 20 years ago, and I know for a fact rates haven’t been over 6ish % in that time. I was encouraged to buy for several years prior to that, going back to the mid-90s, so I suspect rates were lower then as well.

So probably highest rates in at least 25 years.
