You forgot politicians.

athletes are way more out of touch than actors and musicians. most actors and musicians struggled and worked their way up at some point. most pro athletes have been getting their arse kissed by everyone since middle school.

I think you have to differentiate between “superstars” and your average professional athlete/musician.

Most “national act” musicians are relatively normal people. The vast majority have very little in common with pop stars, who live in an entirely different world.

The same can be said for athletes. I knew a few former professional athletes (NFL and MLB) and they’re all normal dudes. A guy like Foster Moreau is going to have a much different life than someone like Tom Brady or LeBron James.

definitely. they get famous when they're pretty young and then no one ever challenges them or tells them no ever again. they end up being overgrown children who have way too much influence, and they are generally not very intelligent to begin with.
