I hear this talking point a lot, but I'm curious, what is the Republican solution to things like the racial wealth gap?

LINK

Like what actual, concrete policy are Republicans supposedly just ready to implement the moment black people start voting Republican that would address their concerns economically, socially, and in terms of Civil Rights?

Like why are states like Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana, that have some of the highest percentage of black populations as a portion of their state, that have been run almost exclusively by Republicans at the state level for literally decades now, still amongst the poorest black people in the country with the widest racial wealth gap and widest racial poverty gaps?

You'd think if Republican policies were so great for black people, these super red states would have the highest rates of black wealth and the lowest racial inequality, not the opposite that we actually see.

Democrats are often shite for black people too, but not seeing what Republicans are actually offering?

Maybe lets hear where the right thinks it comes from if not the obvious big ones that created the enormous gap in the first place and what their solution is?

This seems like a deflection to the question

So at one point, there wasn’t a racial wealth gap, but some obvious big things caused it?

It’s not a deflection, it’s a conversation. I can’t speak for “the right”., and I don’t really care what republicans think.

They sound middle class. Middle class always bears the brunt of inflation. The fact that there are way more whites in the middle class, simply based on the population breakdown, White Americans will bear more of the brunt of rising prices.

Or how about they throw out the whole race thing for once and focus on the actual story. If you are poor and on govt assurance you will be fine, if you are rich you will be fine, if you are between those two you are going to suffer. Race is not a determining factor.

Dems don’t give a shite. They know as long as they keep promising free shite urban Blacks will continue to vote for their own destruction at a 90% clip.

Nope, it's always been there. Started sky high after the Civil War and closed considerably since the end of Jim Crow The New Deal/Great Society but the wealth gap between white and black is on average an 8x difference and it's higher in places like Louisiana/Mississippi/Alabama. Where Republicans have largely controlled the state and state policy for decades.

So I'm just curious, what is the Republican solution?

Seems like those with depreciating investments and savings would be ravaged a lot more by inflation than those with no savings.

Sounds like they could have benefited from the child tax credit being extended assuming they qualified.

Why not just send them 15k a month direct deposit courtesy of the federal government? I’m sure that’ll combat inflation.

One has to assume they:

1. Voted for this with their eyes open, OR

2. Their eyes are open now

I don't blame anybody for not knowing. Now they know.

First off the southern states becoming republican didnt really happen until 2000. The damage was already done. And the cities they live in have been ran by democrats for over 100 years.

But one thing we can do is stop telling black people they cant amount to anything because they are black. Stop gfiving them a boogeyman. And tell the truth. graduate high school, get a job, dont have kids you cant afford and you will have freedom, economic freedom.

Like I just moved from new orleans. Instead of tearing down racist statues just to erect racists statues, make sure black peoples property arent getting flooded every time it rains because you have pumps out all across the city. Prosecute criminals even if they are black because they wreak havoc on the law abiding black citizens. And businesses will leave areas high in crime, so it just hurts again the law abiding black citizens of that area.

When we raised the minimum wage it actually hurts the low skilled workers. And young black people looking for a first time jobs are the ones left out in the cold. You have effectively priced them out.

End the welfare state. it leads to no motivation, leads to run down areas because they is no pride in the place you live, its not yours or it was cheap, why keep it up? Stop paying women to have children.

The r kelly thread reminds me, stop propping up black criminals as good role models. Like Tupac peace pole and giving r kelly a key to the city. You knew of their transgressions before this. They arent heros, they are just piece of shite men.

Basketball??

Really the only way is through education and there is probably equal amounts spent toward education no matter which party is in office.
