Bumped it up to enhanced, will be a nasty afternoon.

quote:

Very steep midlevel lapse rates (noted in 12Z observed soundings) will support a threat of hail (potentially significant) with any semi-discrete supercells that can develop. Cell mergers and linear forcing along the cold front will likely result in some upscale-growing clusters later this afternoon, with a corresponding risk of damaging winds. Low-level flow/shear will tend to weaken with time, especially across the western portion of the threat area, but some tornado threat will be present with any stronger supercell this afternoon, especially over the Ark-La-Miss vicinity.

Shot from Salina KS last night. Unsure who snapped the pic as it was posted by CIA Sim.

Probably late afternoon early evening but no telling what may pop up out ahead, no if and when on that, as early as 1PM possibly.

But almost guaranteed heavy squall line after 6PM

Warm and humid in DFW. Was hoping this would miss us completely.

There's a freight train of moisture pouring up from the gulf, plus side its blocking the sun.

Yeah. Got too much sun playing tennis yesterday but today is too humid to get out there. Is there a timeline for anything forming in DFW?

Looking like another big wind event. Probabilistic outlooks show 5% Tornado, and 30% for both damaging wind and Hail. "Tim McGraw Country" back in play again.

Bobby, there's an interesting conversation regarding the "wedge" from last night.

To the person who reported a wedge tornado id love to know how I missed whatever you "saw" LINK

Extremely hard to argue with the guy when this was his position:

That would be the storm that produced the pic you posted.

Yeah I saw that earlier and apparently there is a discrepancy

I don't think NWS ever confirmed it either

Wonder why everything from the Shreveport radar is 10 minutes old?

Nevermind, finally updated. Weird.

Is that on RadarScope? Mine was updating reflectivity every five minutes a little while ago. And velocity was running 2-3 minutes behind that.
