Pretty serious bow with what looks like radar indicated rotation in Henderson moving towards Baton Rouge.

I didn’t know it was going to rain tonight until I saw all the lightning outside

Looks like a bit of a rear inflow jet, rotation probably won't last long but should kick the wind up in the bow segment for a little while. Probably should get a severe warning if it persists much longer.

LIX is moving the radar to Hammond at some point in the next year or two.

Does look like a pretty good bow echo on the radar. Maybe we’ll see a warning as it nears Br

There is weak coverage between Port Allen and Lafayette. A new radar site in Grosse Tete or even up in New Roads would help fill that.

Or moving the radar in Slidell to Hammond...

It’s so stupid it’s in Slidell when there’s one in Mobile

Gotta have absurd coverage of coastal Mississippi.

Also Charlotte has worse radar coverage than BR.

It was pretty intense in Lafayette for about 20 minutes. Seems to be over now. This has to be one of the most consistently cold winters in a while.

Update: not as pronounced but still rotation in Gross Tete. Also something showing near St Francisville

Maybe LSU or Southern can get a radar site on some land in west Baton Rouge.
