Are lab created stones real?

The local annoying Diamond store has been pushing their created diamonds. They aren't cheap for created stones either.
I know that fake Diamonds like cubic are looked down upon. Does the use of a plasma chamber make the Diamond now real?
I know with Emeralds, Columbian Emeralds are worth a lot more than Chatham Emeralds (which are grown).
I know the OT is big on luxury items. What's the take on lab created diamonds?

No. It just means that only a qualified gemologist can tell the difference.

Chemically they are the same supposedly. The process for making them is pretty cool. But they're not "natural."

Compressed pure carbon is compressed pure carbon.

I always wonder this as well, when they advertise the lab created diamonds for essentially the same price as mined diamonds.
That seems dumb.

lab created diamonds are 100% real diamonds
if done well, it takes an extremely expensive machine and expert to tell if it might be lab-created
the problem is some creators mark them as lab-created that makes the cat out of the bag

if you can touch it, it's real

The greatest grift in the history of the modern world is the diamond industry convincing the general public that diamonds are rare and, thus, valuable.

it isn't always this way, but lab-created have shot up

If an African village wasn't razed to secure the diamond then it isn't real. Period.

I know many people who recently have gone the lab diamond route. They look exactly the same, and cost less. Companies market them as conflict free and eco-friendly.

This. Feel bad for all the baws spending 5-10k on an engagement ring. Massive waste of money

Exactly. Isn't the entire high price of diamonds based upon their perceived scarcity? Then why are created the same price?

the scarcity is bullshite. it's forced scarcity, so that price is completely a lie
lab-created used to be SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper, but created a marketing niche of basically being "guilt free" so they got a nice bump in value
