Did you know that folks have started putting their pronouns on their resumes? Been seeing an uptick in the ones I've reviewed at my job.

I've immediately trashed them.

Not because I care about how they identify, but because I just know they'd be a pain in the arse to work with.

Thoughts on this? If I were a hiring manager, which I've been in the past, this would be a huge red flag for me. Not so much someone putting "Preferred Pronouns: He, Him" on their resumes - because I would assume this is something they picked up in college - but putting "They, Them" as pronouns would give me pause.

Someone like that would be an HR nightmare waiting to happen.

Also, don't hire anyone with a hyphenated last name

I once immediately wrote off a candidate (who was fairly qualified) because he showed up to the interview with tan leather shoes and a black leather belt.

If someone puts their preferred pronoun on a resume, it will go immediately in the trash.

Personal preference is I wouldn't touch anyone with a ten foot poll who did that.

Even my friends who are liberal (not leftists) don't do this shite.

Just call people by their names and avoid pronouns all together. Problem solved.

That resume would get kicked out automatically. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen. The good part about this is that these retards identify themselves immediately

I'd trash that resume. That's someone I'd eventually offend

Just the opposite.

Exercise your HR privilege and keep the workplace sane and tolerable.

"Singular 'they'" really grates on my nerves. Children seem to be using it even for people of known sex now, and it renders their prose completely incomprehensible.

Yeh no. There is a huge law suit coming from people like this when you refuse to be forced to call them a pronoun that they aren't. Why do people hate science?

Was discussing this with someone last night. The younger hires love to talk about how things "make them feel" as in "that makes me uncomfortable."

I don't give a shite if you don't like something. It's your job. If you think it is unsafe, unethical, illegal, etc then lets talk. But as far as how it makes you "feel", I am having trouble believing they think this is something you should say to a manager at a job you hope to keep.

Well it's illegal to no hire someone that uses pronouns so he's going to jail.
