Not a lock with a key pad, but one that hooks up to WiFi? I’m looking at the August deadbolt converter which is minimal profile. I’m on the tail end of delayed hurricane fixes and remodel and I’ve had several contractors in and out over the last two months, so changing the locks is a must. Considering upgrading while I’m at it.

what could possibly go wrong?

just leave your doors and windows wide open if you think wifi is safe from hackers

Yeah we've had smart locks with keypads or finger print for several years. I don't want to go back to carrying keys

I found the best way to prevent break ins was to build a moat, stocked with dangerous reptilians and punji sticks.

I’ve had one for several years. It hooks to Wi-Fi, has keypad, and even has keyed access. I’m pretty sure they are the same price as the others, so why limit yourself (batteries die, etc). Highly recommend

Utraloq U-Bolt Smart Lock

I have this one on two doors and love it. Can use fingerprint, code, key, or the app to open them. Also can send push notifications when your kids get home from the bus. When family visits I set them up with a temp code. Easy stuff.

I don’t think most people realize how easy it is to pick most locks or open a door.

Besides, if a burglar wants in they can just break a window.

I have a smart lock that integrates to my smart phone Bluetooth.

It’s deliberately not bridged to wifi though.

I have mine connected through my ADT hub. Finger print reader and keypad on the back and keypad from the garage. Love the automation I can do and being able to lock and set everything with one button.

I have a zwave schlage lock that is integrated into my smart things setup.

It's awesome in my opinion. I have all kinds of automations setup for the door to automatically lock. Also sends me alerts when someone gets home based on what code is used.

This is kind of a weird concern TBH. It's not like burglars couldn't otherwise get into your home if they really wanted to. For every instance of somebody hacking their way into your house, I bet there's more instances of a smart lock preventing a burglary by locking remotely when somebody forgets.

Also, your average burglar almost definitely has no idea how to hack. Seems like it would take way more effort anyways over just busting a window

What’s the gain? Traditional locks seem to work fine

I have the August locks. I love them. The downside is the batteries do t last but 14-17 days. I suggest getting rechargeable batteries.

I guarantee you that for every 1 person who can hack wifi and unlock your smart lock there are 1,000 dipshits who can use a bump key and a million who can use a pry bar.
