Someone I knew through a shared gardening interest died in a fire in his home. From the description of the fire, he was a hoarder and couldn't get out.

He was a great guy and he's missed by a lot of folks.

This 1922 chevy?

It is a convertible and it’s a weird, pale bluish green color. I doubt that’s it’s original color. Other than that it’s pretty much all original except someone added side mirrors.

Even trade?

That was his offer. I imagine they still laugh about that at the Chevy dealership.

I'd bet on it....I stayed the frick away from the kitchen area though. I find caked on shite on pots repulsive and knew what that was gonna look like

re: Anyone Know A Real Hoarder?
My family has/had one. He moved out of his home which was unlivable. His garage I recall my dad helping build when I was a kid was huge. It long collapsed. Just a slab left with tarps covering al of his shite. He’d go check and get pissed off everytime somebody had stolen something. He had isolated piles of scrap metals he’d found. Copper wiring etc. no shite people steal unsecured materials.

Anyway.... he started getting city stickers on his house that he’d always throw away and tell them GTFO. He didn’t bother reading the important ones. He was given so many days to clean or it would be cleaned. He didn’t go for a stretch of days and it was all gone. Just the garage slab. Home and all contents crushed and rolled up by a backhoe and BObcat. Then dumped in a truck.

The endgame for any hoarder. It’s that or death.

Yes my ex wife was a hoarder. It was awful living with her and only got worse the past 30 years.

See it a lot in my business. Most common in middle class folks who have just enough will power/finances ratio to create a mess. Many have also suffered some sort of loss they did not deal with properly and used the hoard as coping mechanism to replace said loss.

I’ve loaded up several trucks/dumpsters to sell a property and help folks move/start over. Average time before new property is hoard worthy is less than a year.

My wife’s aunt was one. She’d order random shite in bulk from qvc and had an extra storage shed to store everything. I have a feeling that my youngest daughter will be a hoarder when she gets on her own

I think someone said something that can be assumed it was you, but I know you said that your wife wouldn't allow it or something like that.

If you were a hoarder you wouldn't sell the stuff you pick up.

Congratulations. I've been ignoring you for the most part as of late, but I can't allow you to take my views out of context.

In the beginning I was for a lockdown because of Covid. As I mentioned several times, with something that spreads as easy as it does, I an aggressive approach would work. A hard lockdown for no more than 3 months. That didn't include shutting everything down, but for those who went to work, they would have to take proper precautions. The go to work and then home. The 3 months would allow time for any mishaps in which people get it several weeks into it..

In other words, I was for a hard shutdown that would be better for long term. Now that we are what? 8 months into this thing, something has to be done to protect business owners who are impacted by the restrictions.

I could go into more detail, but my point is, you take a piece of what I said months ago and use it to describe my views. I know you are some type of political consultant and you probably know how to spin a story.. Or you are just that simple.. Either way, congrats. You finally got my attention.
