Anyone gone through a period of frustration with your job and started acting too brash....

...to coworkers and clients?

What were the positive or negative effects?

Promoted to a job I wanted.

Big risk for little reward

Punch one square in the nose and let them know you mean business. Find the bully and let him have it.

Mayor Cantrell wouldn’t be bullied. Will you?

I got passed over for a promotion and started acting like an obnoxious, me-first a-hole for the better part of a year.

Looking back, I was probably a bit over the top with it.

Anyway, my pay has increased about 40% since then.

Your mileage may vary.

Just got repremanded for this recently. My work load is too high, so my boss gave one of my smaller tasks to a peer. He was to update some visuals on stuff I designed last year. He proceeds to redesign the entire thing. Schedules meeting after meeting with me, where we argue about the design back and forth. Guy just doesn't get it. So I finally have enough, say go for it. He schedules a meeting with all the big bosses and gets obliterated for trying to redesign what I already had approved.

So yeah I left a teammate out to dry, got in trouble, would do it again. Told my boss I refuse to hand hold my peers, that isn't going over well

I hit 25 years at work this week. Not completely fireproof just yet, but extremely fire retardant. I also find my patience with people dwindling.

Exactly the opposite. Was nice, strategic and quasi-manipulative. It worked. Always maintain composure.

Absolutely depends on how good/valuable you are to the company. Be sure you know that answer ahead of said brashness.

Got fired. Four times.

Started my own company. Yet to be fired even once.

I texted my sales manager and our GM that I could no longer work in an environment like this I also snapped at a few ops guys but felt bad afterwards.

I was serious and it seems to be working.

Starting your period on the job is always frustrating.

One should always be prepared with hygiene items and some ibuprofen in your desk drawer.

I realized it was a bad fit for me and left for greener pastures. I get paid much more and am much happier.

Company I worked for eliminated my position so I ended up having to work entry level for awhile. I was last one in, first one out. Did my job well, but did only what was needed of me. Put in my two weeks after a few weeks and after lunch on my last day, I got offered a sales position to stay. Good thing I came back from lunch, I almost didn't.
