Sure, the people you deal with are always great, and well behaved.

If you can get insurance work, you can make money. But it can be dangerous. Picking up a car on the side of the interstate in the middle of the night in the rain is no fun. Guy got killed 2 weeks ago doing it.

Actually, It's crossed my mind before.

I don't know what it is, but I'm like a kid watching baws operate earth moving equipment when I see tow truck operators hitching up vehicles to be towed.

Then on the other hand, knowing the commercial auto insurance costs, I'm like, "frick that."

$80 is cheap. Easily 200-300 here.

After graduating high school, I worked for/with/around a tow service. It was interesting at times, sure, but I wouldn't want to do it again.

Have a buddy that ran tow company in Miami for 14 years. To say he has some wild stories is a massive understatement.

If you can't afford a reliable car, you certainly can't afford to buy a tow truck

I know a guy that did it about 20 years ago. He said the Bank repos are where you make big money. He also said taking someone's vehicle from their driveway at 2AM was....interesting. He carried.

The whole group seem like really good people. The Corvair rig they have now is insane.
