not at the World Cup level. I think that's what's really the issue here. Most non-Soccer fans think that all Soccer is like the World Cup, where defenses are incredibly dominant except with teams who are extremely over-matched (i.e. a blowout). In the World Cup, 0-0 or 1-1 ties are not uncommon with the most common scores being 1-0, 2-1, or 1-1. That can be pretty dull for the sidewalk sports fan who's used to dunk faces and video game offenses and defenses that are fined for playing defense. It's the fact that goals are so difficult to come by at the WC level, that they are so rare, precious, and game changing that makes the pursuit of those goals so exciting.

We got it. You don't like soccer.

Make the goal 10 feet wider and get rid of the "off sides" rule and it would be a great sport.

Great idea. They should do this in football as well to increase scoring there, too.

Offsides needs to be reworked, it's just too much of a punishment to the attack and too much of a benefit to defense.
Played both, I prefer the limiting the amount of players over the center line to the restrictive nature of soccer's offsides.

Sun, Mar 23 Georgia Vs LSU T, 2-2 (13)
I used to hate on soccer, had some coworkers that got me into Premier League and I really enjoy it now and am looking forward to WC. I don't find it boring at all.
I found it helps to pick a team to follow.

Do you think the same thing about football? Because it's basically the same law.

The basket needs to be about 5 feet wider in basketball, too.

It's not the same law. You are lined up in enemy territory before play begins. It would be more like sitting next to the opposing goalie at a kickoff so your team could try booting it down to you for a shot.
Play is ongoing for offsides in soccer and the defenders could of adjusted and been further back to keep attackers in front of them.

That's what it was before the offside rule was added.
You're dumb, gfy.

And give the forwards space to run into? Recipe for disaster and will surely lead to a goal eventually. It's really not that simple.

Soccer would be 90 minutes of this if there were no offside....

exactly, it's not the attacks fault you didn't pay attention to them. It's too much of a punishment on the attack for the defense being lazy or purposely slowing the game.

I wasn't agreeing with you. I was making fun of you for using "could of."

No, it wouldn't. It doesn't happen in Lacrosse and wouldn't happen in soccer. Defenses would adjust to it.

It's actually not restrictive. The consequence of doing away with offside would be a supremely defensive game, as teams wouldn't want to leave their goalmouth. The offside rule was more restrictive when it required that their be three players between the attacking player and the goal instead of two, and the rule as it stands now has revolutionized the game, making it more open while disincentivizing teams desire to bunker down and defend.
