Where did you grow up?
Soccer was the only major sports I didn't play growing up, and I wish I had. Seems like fun. And you don't get concussion after concussion.

yeah this is true. there are so many leagues and tournaments that it can be overwheling, but once you learn about how the leagues and tournament works it makes the sport that much better. Plus the two soccer transfer windows are crazy.

I lived in Europe for five years, played there, went to games, I still think it's boring. That being said I'll watch the USA games bc I'm a patriot.

True sports fans can appreciate any game for its own sake on a philosophical level.
Sports fans who can't see past their own cultural constraints only hurt themselves by narrowing the range of games they find enjoyable to watch.

I played football in the fall, soccer in the winter, and ran track in the spring. Also, played soccer in the spring at a club. It was by far the most difficult sport because it's super hard to control a bouncy ball with just your feet

Soccer is the only sport that has balls to stand up and tell the TV stations that they will not be able to stop time and change the flow of a game.
In basketball and football the flow of the game is dictated by the tv networks wich is bullshite. Those sports should have the balls to say hey, if you want to show commercials you do it when you can. We will not hold the game up for you, you move around our schedule.

i don't think the TV contracts would be as lucrative without the additional prime advertising during the game
its easy for the NFL, NBA, NCAA, etc to extend those stoppages for the higher priced contracts they can get with the networks

Soccer is ok. I like the World Cup.
American soccer fans are so-so. Little weird. A lot of people who probably adopted it just so as not to conform to being a fan of American sports. But, I'll pretend they're normal for the next month.
