Since you made everyone do the googles for you, can you at least follow up and post the results with what method you used? You know, in case others might have shirts that "accidentally" still had the tag on them.
Posting pictures/video would also be nice... especially if you busted it and got ink everywhere so we can laugh at you!

Use a cigarette lighter to melt the bottom bowl that contains the ink. let the ink drain out into the sink. Use a pair of pliers or channel locks to squeeze the plastic tab until the pin slides out of the bottom piece of the tag... pull the tag apart...
