The best workers come in early and leave after the lunch rush… you wouldn’t believe some of the workers (non-management) making 30$ a hour in the morning…

There is a McDonalds kinda near me that has a 100% Hispanic staff I'm not even sure most of them speak any English but that store is as clean and efficient as any fast food restaurant I have been in.

They have operation analysts come out and review the food to make sure they’re up to standard and doing things correctly. Problem is it’s one thing to do it when corporate is there and never when it’s just a standard customer. Can’t remember if it was them or field learning consultants that train on new tech and other related items.

I was a floor manager for Pappas restaurants for a few years . specifically Pappadeaux, and corporate would send in “secret shoppers” very often who would pose as a regular guest dining in,

…they would literally have this massive scorecard we would get graded on based on their experience. Food temps, waiter attentiveness, quality of food, hostess attitude, knowledge of menu… it was about 30 different things we would be evaluated on.

We would get absolutely fricking crucified if even one small thing did not go right… it affected our bonus.

Congrats. I like to get out the truck sometimes and utilize an actual table to answer emails and input orders.

. in a pinch i actually think that grabbing a couple Slim Jims and a bag of Doritos from the corner store, while not ideal, is tastier and not any less healthy than anything McDonalds offers

That's a snack.

Mr. Mark Knopfler is great

I'm going to San Bernardino ring-a-ding-ding
Milkshake mixers, that's my thing, now
These guys bought a heap of my stuff
And I gotta see a good thing sure enough, now
Or my name's not Kroc, that's Kroc with a 'k'
Like 'crocodile' but not spelled that way, yeah
It's dog eat dog, rat eat rat
Kroc-style boom, like that

The folks line up all down the street
And I'm seeing this girl devour her meat, now
And then I get it, wham, as clear as day
My pulse begins to hammer and I hear a voice say

These boys have got this down
Oughtta be a one of these in every town
These boys have got the touch
It's clean as a whistle and it don't cost much
Wham, bam you don't wait long
Shake, fries, patty, you're gone
And how about that friendly name?
Heck, every little thing oughtta stay the same
Or my name's not Kroc, that's Kroc with a 'k'
Like 'crocodile' but not spelled that way, now
It's dog eat dog, rat eat rat (x3)
Kroc-style boom, like that

You gentlemen ought to expand
You're going to need a helping hand, now
So, gentlemen, well, what about me?
We'll make a little business history, now
Or my name's not Kroc. Call me Ray
Like 'crocodile' but not spelled that way, now
It's dog eat dog, rat eat rat
Kroc-style, boom, like that

Well, we build it up and I buy 'em out
But man, they made me grind it out, now
They open up a new place flipping meat
So I do too, right across the street

I got the name, I need the town
They sell up in the end and it all shuts down
Sometimes you gotta be an s.o.b.
You want to make a dream reality
Competition? Send 'em south
If they're gonna drown
Put a hose in their mouth
Do not pass 'Go', go straight to hell
I smell that meat hook smell

Or my name's not Kroc, that's Kroc with a 'k'
Like 'crocodile' but not spelled that way, now
It's dog eat dog, rat eat rat (x3)
Kroc-style boom, like that

Same in my part of ATL. The ones staffed by the Hispanic ladies are well-oiled machines.

I know the MacLaff ownership and have deer/duck hunted with them in the past. Pretty sure they own close to 50 stores now and give back a ton to the community. Before the current CEO's could own their first store (30 yrs ago), their father made sure they each got an MBA since he preached the importance of education. I'm not a fan of the inside kiosk but I'm pretty sure that's a corporate decision.

All I know is the floor is going to be slippery early in the morning, doesn't matter where or what they do about it.

Maybe so, I don’t know. We don’t have any of these in my area but I always liked Wendy’s and the baconator is my favorite but it’s almost too much for me to eat in one sitting. Son of a baconator is just about right. And their drive through is quick where I’ve been.

How does corporate handle your store being updated with modern amenities and technology?

They downgrade the food a lot. I remember when you could have birthday parties there and hula hoop for free fries. Their burgers suck now and taste like cardboard, haven't eaten there in over a year.

On that note, Braums in the Midwest went from having a grilled chicken where the chicken flowed over the bun to having to open the bun to find it just like chik fil....where is the chicken.

Fast food is over priced and under served in quality, healthy and service, I now cook more than ever.

The problem with all of these places is the people they employ.
