Thursday evening, I went to an estate sale. I had to work, so I got there just as it opened, so I was number 97 in line (took an hour before I got in).

I finally get in, most of the good stuff was gone, but I find a large box of about 40 hats in the garage. They are $3-$5 each. I go through them and pick out what I thought was cool, or old, or made in America.
I get about 20 of them, totaling $80. I know nothing about hats.

I just listed an older LA Lakers hat. I start the bidding at $20 or make an offer. Within 5 minutes, I was being bombarded with a dozen offers, ranging between $50-$200.
I finally just turned the make an offer function off, and raise the opening bid to $150. Someone bid on it within a minute of me doing it.
What do you think it will go for?

Another hat I got is a University of Hawaii Rainbows SnapBack hat. It’s getting a lot of watchers.

When sports fans want something specific, they'll pay out the @## for it. I know those Louisiananimal sweatshirts Burrow and them wore were going for $200...

BTW, a friend of mine was first in line for the sale, she got there a 11:00am for a 4:30 opening. She was after this, a 1949 game used, team signed LSU football. She stole it for $200

Your ebay description uses words like "vintage", "Kobe", and "rare". Since you don't know anything about hats, did you actually research this hat or just make it up to get people interested. I'm not judging, I'm honestly curious about how this works.

I imagine you know that what you have there are caps, though commonly called "hats". At one time I had a lot of caps of my own acquired through playing golf and baseball and as a result of sports fandom. Now I've downsized to just a half dozen caps.

I have more recently acquired a growing collection of women's hats worn by subjects of my photographs, or with the prospect of such use in the future. Some I've purchased new, others at pre-owned sellers and garage/estate/church sales. The inconvenience is having to box and store them to protect from damage, which can occur easily for some types.

I found a similar one and just copied the title, changing it a little.

I wonder what a "game used" and signed by Judge Schmails would go for...

The snap backs from the early 90s were popular and expensive for a while. They might still be I don’t keep up with it.
