Gonna try to buy tickets to the Tyler Childers show for April. Any tips and tricks for seats, or general concerns about staying alive?

Don’t cross Canal and you should be good. In fact I’d try to enter through the roof or a back door.

Yes, saw Down there last Aug. If I made it out alive at Down you will be fine at Tyler Childers. Venue is great, I would just get there early.

We were just there for Flaming Lips. We parked at Canal Place mall on the other side of Canal. Zero issues walking there.

The girlfriend couldn't see a lot of the show bc it was a flat floor with standing room only.

ETA: wish we would've sat in the stadium seats at the back of the theater.

If anyone is with you that is short, get tix in the seated areas rather than standing room. Floor is flat so my 5 foot tall wife couldn't see shite when we saw Modest Mouse

Got seated tickets for The Flaming Lips and it was perfect.

I went to see Willy Nelson there a few years back. I had no issues.

Is it always set up like this ? when buying tickets, it has all the seating at the rear and then left and right of the rear

As others have said, you may want to get seats or VIP for the vertically challenged.

Apart from that, the venue is good. Huge floor and had no long lines at the bars or bathroom. If you want to stand back by the soundboard, you can see the stage and still have space between people.

It was set up like that for the Flaming Lips, but I never saw tickets for the side seats online. They had an acid tripping hippy artist guy doing a painting on one side, and a few small groups on the other side. The side tickets were there, but they weren't letting anyone in that area.

We saw Parker McCollum there earlier this year. I am one of those 5'0" chicks, so we bought seats and sat with the rest of the old people who have real jobs and can afford to buy the assigned seats. All the college kids were in the standing area. The drink lines and bathroom lines were not bad. The only issue is that it was pouring rain and they would not let you enter the Fillmore from the casino so we had to walk around the outside of the building in the rain to get to the entrance.

Using the name Fillmore is a fricking ripoff. I'll never go there and I know they won't miss me.

There’s no shortage of garage parking nearby. You can either but tickets for reserved seats on the fringes or ga tickets on the floor. If you get ga tickets, there is nowhere to sit for the duration.
