You a roofer?
When we get that $50 a day labor again, I might just have to get me some formerly known as illegal aliens and have a couple of roofing crews.

If we quit sending $ to other countries and get rid of all other forms of welfare we could easily have UBI. Problem is they want UBI, more welfare that we already have, free healthcare for everyone, AND an open border giving anyone and everyone that steps foot here all those benefits.

Not Blue Collar.
But, work with many.
Many of which are smart, skilled guys.
I know you're trying to be a smartass, but stop.
Sheet metal workers, boilmakers, electricians, etc are way tougher to replace than many white collar jobs such as accounting, HR, etc.
Basically, unless you're an engineer STFU.
And almost all Engineers are above such stupid fricking statements.

Ahhh, the old school American Way truth. Yeah, we do that in Texas. They build this state. But man, that Alamo, TX border wall is sweet!

I’m blue collar, I flip and renovate houses. I promise you I don’t qualify for UBI.

None of the blue collar guys who worked for me will be replaced by anyone. Half of them made (and well earned) more money than me.
Skilled labor has become so valuable that it is rapidly passing up lots of white collar jobs.

I am not a union welder that lost my job today because your president the union supported canceled keystone pipeline

This. I think we should shift schooling to adjust to this. Rather than all school pushing a college prep curriculum. They should have schools for those who want to get into trades. A lot of guys in Electrical, plumbing and AC make really good money a couple of years out of high school after apprenticeship.
They could start apprenticeship work in high school even if we stopped focusing on standardized testing.

I was told UBI was basic income for everyone so that include rich as well as poor.

I make more than my wife who happens to be an RN. I'm just a lowly machinist.
