It is not illegal to visit Antarctica. Why don't you vet your information before you cut and paste?

airspace of the south pole is restricted, you cannot fly a plane, drone, or any other sort of device down there, without falling under the penalty of law.

It's not illegal to fly over Antarctica.

Something doesn't add up here.

My wife and I took an icebreaker from Ushuaia, Argentina (the capital of Tierra del Fuego, Argentina) to Antarctica a few Januarys ago. There were no restrictions on us going ashore that we were told about.

A few pics we took:

Our ship, the Polar Star, taken through an overturned iceberg

A penguin colony on the Antarctica Peninsula

Full moon rising over the Antarctica Peninsula at around midnight-It's
still daylight because January has 20+ hours of daylight

No, it's not. You people need to quit reading flat Earth crap.

Antarctica is not considered a no-fly zone because it is not illegal to fly over Antarctica. However, there is no reason to fly over Antarctica because it is not in the way to any airports and because it is not an independent country. In fact, the only reason aircraft currently fly over Antarctica is for research purposes, military reasons, rescue operations, and scenic tourism.

Gravity works differently in Wilkes Land Territory caused by crater under this area's ice sheet

US destoryed a Nazi base in the 50s that also contained signs of alien life form. All governments deny the base's existence

You can go there but you are restricted to specific areas and can’t fly over it at all.

There is a good reason why commercial aircraft do not take a southern route over Antarctica.

Pilots have to have an emergency plan if there is a problem with the plane. If you are flying over Antarctica you do not have any options for an emergency landing at an airport.

I actually meant to type it's not. I googled it the other day because my daughter asked if anyone has ever flown over the North Pole and the South Pole.

Video that may interest some of you. Racing The Planet hosts races on Antarctica. I learned about Racing the Planet form this board after someone turned me on to the Grand to Grand Ultra.

This is the info session. Will kill an hour of your work day. LINK

Just like it’s illegal to buy flowers from an un-licensed florist here in LA

Thank you. I took that photo while I was standing on the stairs just outside of the ship's bridge. I was pleased it came out as well as it did.
