Papers started appearing in January of 2020.

It had been tested against SARS, if I remember correctly, which is why they believed it would be effective.

I’m a PA, was rx HCQ 3 weeks ago when I tested + from my doc... i don’t rx it... was scared to take it with Zithromax due to arrhythmia risk.... finished zpack after 5 days, still felt like shite so took it. Not sure if it helped or not but but didn’t start feeling better until I took steroids

It’s becoming more and more clear how fake the fake news was.

They would have said or done ANYTHING to sabotage Trump because he represented the political elite being undermined.

They lied, smeared, obsfucated and brainwashed, and when that still didn’t work, they cheated.

This is the biggest screw job since Montreal

I take a 1 a day which has Zinc in it, but also take 5000 ICUs of D. I take B12 as well. D is important, being vitamin D deficient can cause a lot of problems.

h for fricks sake No, it was repeatedly shown to be effective, it prevented the major damage you saw from a cytokine storm. But you had to give it early on.
Then why didn’t Trump take it when he was diagnosed?

Keep it mind with these studies, if you gave all covid patients fruity pebbles it would show to be 99% effective

The doctor who treated my brother in law said they don’t provide HCQ because it was proven not to work at all.

Vitamin D as well. But I thought it was common knowledge that anything that helps your immune system helps your body better fight off viruses?

Isn’t that the study from last August?

quote:

Future randomized trials testing the principles and agents discussed will undoubtedly refine and clarify their individual roles; however, we emphasize the immediate need for management guidance in the setting of widespread hospital resource consumption, morbidity, and mortality.
Have any randomized trials occurred since this study? I would be interested to know the results?

quote:

In this well-conducted, appropriately powered clinical trial, the authors randomized 479 patients to receive hydroxychloroquine (400 mg twice daily for 2 doses, then 200 mg twice daily for 8 doses) (n?=?242) or placebo (n?=?237). The trial was stopped early at the fourth interim analysis for futility. For the primary outcome, clinical status at 14 days measured on a 7-category ordinal scale, there was no significant difference between the hydroxychloroquine and placebo groups (median [interquartile range {IQR}] score, 6 [4-7] vs 6 [4-7]; adjusted odds ratio, 1.02 [95% CI, 0.73-1.42]). None of the 12 secondary outcomes were significantly different between groups, including mortality at 28 days: 10.4% in the hydroxychloroquine group vs 10.6% in the placebo group (absolute difference, -0.2% [95% CI, -5.7% to 5.3%]; adjusted odds ratio, 1.07 [95% CI, 0.54 to 2.09]).1 Thus, the results conclusively show no benefit of hydroxychloroquine over placebo.

Oh, well I wonder if op is just spreading political bs.

No, that's not what the article says. Stop looking at pretty pictures and read the words. The Zinc is more effective than what HCQ "may" or may not do in some isolated cases of administered in the earliest signs of symptoms. Any positive results from HCQ is due to the traces of zinc.

Dude are you serious right now? You’re just now realizing that you were lied to by the media and certain “health experts” for the last year?

Yeah, there was some other drug concoction being used that was the darling of the moment at the time Trump was treated. It doesn’t mean he and medical professionals who all along condoned its use were wrong about the effectiveness of HCQ

if your brother's doctor, or if the JAMA article wasnt used as misdirection, perhaps they would like to admit that alone HCQ does not show any advantages....

However.....they conveniently fail to mention that when in conjunction with Zinc and Azithromycin it has been proven statistically significant as an effective treatment. Furthermore, Ivermectin/Zinc/Azithromycin has shown to be even more effective. This was all known way back by early June of last year.

Individually, any one of those drugs show little to no effectiveness. When used in a cocktail, they are very effective when given to a patient in early onset.
