How can average American compete with this?

They could consider not buying a 40,000 car and saving some money..

There's not a week that goes by that OpenDoor doesn't send us a letter begging to buy our house.

These companies are scum and need to be regulated out of existence.

Few people have 5000 dollars saved for an emergency, half of America can’t cover a 500 dollar emergency without using a credit card. Most people and families have no business owning a home, they’ll just frick it up somehow.

Why not? America was sold to big business generations ago. Food, medicine, energy, communications—all sectors of mass consolidated economic power.

You think that’s expensive in 2023 ? Lol…. I mean, my ride is paid for, and probably wouldnt even be worth $40k if i tried to sell it.. but if looking for a new/gently used vehicle in 2023, $40k wont get you very far, and most DEFINITELY would not be considered an extravagant expenditure these days .

That’s their business. It’s the dream of most Americans to own a home, and ownership should be attainable. Corporations should not be allowed to buy them up and then rent back at unaffordable cost. One day down the road, they will own most properties and everyone will be at the whim of them and the gov.
