Institutional investors may control 40% of U.S. single-family rental homes by 2030, according to MetLife Investment Management. And a group of Washington, D.C., lawmakers say Wall Street needs to back away from the market.
I mean single family homes should go to families, not private firms.

Until the early 2010s, institutional investors in American homes focused mostly on large, multifamily structures like apartment complexes. That all changed during the great recession of 2009.
Ahh so the, everyone should buy a home has lead to this...

In 2021, the single-family rental market saw a massive spike, jumping up 40%, with companies like American Homes 4 Rent and Invitation Homes seeing double-digit rent growth.

The own nothing and eat bugs people are buying everything up. Higher interest rates actually helps them.
There should be a national property tax on all properties that are not owned by the people living in it.

How can average American compete with this?
Blackrock says hello
This is all by design
Drive up the prices, push people to sell if they can’t afford property taxes and push them to rent
You’ll own nothing and be happy
People really need to wake up

The Blackrock way..
- Buy up all the single family homes
-turn them into rentals
- Rent them to people who can't possibly afford them but have some guaranteed government money to backstop them
- get tax credits for renting to minorities

It’s more frightening that people still defend stuff like this as “free market” after our government forced the closure of thousands of businesses for more than 2 years based on speculative science.
We have lived in a rigged economy since the financial crisis.

Every one of these homes has someone moving in them, they serve a need in the market as decent rental housing in booming markets, this will be young professional housing where else do you wish for them to live?

Gee, I'm sure it's just a huuuuuge coincidence that all the sudden so many of our politicians and major real estate developers like Don Huffines are screaming at the tops of their lungs that we need to completely abolish all property taxes.

Why not? America was sold to big business generations ago. Food, medicine, energy, communications—all sectors of mass consolidated economic power.

These people don't get what the WEF Blackrocks of the world are doing and how it is a clear path towards dystopia.

If you want to own 8 homes, good for you. That said, it’s probably better for the community if home prices are geared to people living in the community.
