They're accused murderers. I've seen people here comment on mugshots of black accused murderers in not so complimentary ways.
The whole accused murderer part tends to make people a little cynical. There's also plenty of evidence in this case that suggests things wouldn't have played out the same way if Arbery was white.
That may not mean race was the reason they killed him, but it's hard to imagine they'd be as fast to grab shotguns and jump in their pickup because a white guy looked into a house under construction.

I’m not aware of their statements but would agree that the video has to contradict anything that they told the police. It’s not like they said “we drove down the street after him with guns and when we found him, we shot him”
