My son takes lessons from a high school coach. He makes all his clients sign a acknowledgment saying that if we ever attend his school after sixth grade and plan on playing baseball, then he cannot give lessons or coach them outside of school due to high school recruit violations. I would suspect this would also be an issue in Louisiana as well
it is, doesnt stop people from yapping about it lol.

yea im sure all 5'6 135 lbs had them college recruiters beating down the door
I made 2 errors in 3 years in centerfield and hit over 400 my senior year. They weren't good schools and I know I wasn't that good in the grand scheme of things but to say I never played. Not only did I play, I was actually pretty good for a high school player. My team made semis every year I started and won the year after I graduated. We had 2 pitchers pitch at ULL and Tech respectively. One guy played at centinary, one played football at LA Tech and another played college football.

and who cares about the money? I see this brought up all the time, get a better job if you can afford it, but stop with the stupid arse shite about trying to make those that can afford it feel bad.
You're spending probably more than 10k a year for your kid to play fricking baseball dude. That shite ain't that important. I loved playing as a kid and some of the guys I played with in tball are still my friends, but your fascination with a bunch of kids who's ball haven't even dropped traveling around with thousands of dollars worth of equipment is what is wrong with youth sports.

If they would have just played the better players and not their kids. What could have been?
Print up the t-shirts, 'No Justice, No Peace'.
What ever your cause, I'm with you, let's disrupt some shite during a youth baseball game.

probably played baseball against each other,
I bet we did..
My younger bro was the star of the family though. He was the center on the Airline basketball team that went 30-1. He also hit two bombs out of SPAR stadium when he was 15. Played regular Dixie ball.

Playing aggressive can lead to errors. You ain't throwing out runners or making tough catches if you aren't willing to eat an error.

quote:This is what I don't understand. I get that playing sports helps develop character, but you don't have to waste your entire fricking life away doing dumbass travel ball nonsense, because there is a pretty damn good chance that you're kid isn't even making a D-1 team.
And then they all end up at ULL as construction management majors either way

When I coached i usually put the 8-9 worst fielders in center or right. But that's still pretty good.
