Don't act like they're all innocent. Greeks are getting out of hand. Fights in the parade grounds every weekend, multiple arrests and a freaking stabbing last weekend. Something needed to be done anyway. I agree with suspending everyone to get them under control.

Good point. This has been building and now a kid is dead.

Guess I need more clarification on what 'all activities' means. When I was pledging, we had weekly meetings to talk about adjusting to college life, learning time management, and keeping up with school work. Would be very unfortunate if a bunch 18 year-olds lose that support network because a particular house has shitty priorities.

LSU cares in an abstract way about those deaths. It cares in a very direct way about this death because of bad PR and potential civil liability

SJWs and liberals are relevant to the discussion. The exist in the student body and the admin of LSU. Trump does not and is not.

You would if you thought the others were commuting similar safety violations that resulted in the death.

I'm not, but since words no longer have meaning, perhaps I am. Or not. Or yes.

Can't decide.

Also probably a lot of those types on the student government or whatever board might have some say when due process comes into play.

I know LSU has been having issues with frats for years (as have many other universities). At some point enough is enough. These kids are there to receive an education, not be peer pressured and hazed into taking shots of everclear until they end up in the hospital.

Fraternities will always exist. On campus or off. By having them on campus the university has a level of control they wouldnt otherwise have.

You don't think LSU would come down hard and any organization or group that hazed a kid to death?
im sure they would, but would they shut down the rugby club if there was a death due to hazing on the lacrosse club?

- Student death in the Phi Delt house on campus
- Being investigated as a "potential hazing incident"
- F King Alexander announces that all greek activities have been suspended indefinitely, both on and off campus. This means no pledge or social activities.
- Here's everything we know about student who died at LSU: Name: Maxwell Gruver, from Roswell, GA, 18 years old
- Suspension of all greek activities is believed to be a first at LSU
- Greek presidents had a meeting tonight at one of the frat houses on campus. They were met by media afterwards, to which they replied "no comment."

Read the thread. It's 10 pages long man.

In short, lsu in the news twice in 5 days for shenanigans and drinking. Not local news, national news.

King's hole has puckered up and rightfully so.

Damage control is in full force as it should be

Terrible for recruiting IMO

Typical over reaction by the admins. When is the last time a sorority had a hazing death?

They do it slowly. The effects of their hazing can be seen when they reach their 30s.
