It makes it easier for data collection agencies to collect your information.

Yes. I don't have to whip out my phone to dim, turn off lights. I have certain moods/themes set for TV time, afternoons, mornings, etc... I enjoy the dumb things like asking for weather, sports scores, information, etc... I also like that I can engage my Sonos speakers with it. I probably only have a fraction of the shite I need for it enabled. I should look into exploring it more.

I don’t know, but it’s funny as shite listening to my 4yr old daughter argue with it on what song to play!

I asked Alexa about determining factors of vaginal volume.

That bitch said race and ethnicity play a role in it among other variables.

Try it. I shite you not.

I turn the bedroom lights on/off, turn bedroom fan on/off, adjust my thermostat, turn on/off porch lights, play the news headlines from NPR, play the weather, and play a thunderstorm sleep sound while I sleep.

All from the laying position in my bed.

Let's my kid turn on the bathroom light so he doesn't have to run around screaming he has to potty.

I wish Alexa could wipe his arse.

I like to say "Alexa, purchase everything in my Amazon cart." when I'm at my girlfriends. I like mine though.

Ours is used primarily to make fart noises and tell jokes for a 4th grader. I thought I’d use it a lot more than I do.

Yes if you use it for things that make your life easier. IoT is the main one. We use it for our shopping list as well. As you run out of something throughout the week, just tell Alexa to add it to the list.

I also use mine in my kitchen when I'm cooking and my hands are dirty. It changes the song on my sound system, tells me measurement equivalents (tsp in an oz, e.g.), or it can page the bedroom Alexa to ask my wife a question about something if she's upstairs.

Mine just randomly starts talking when I have said nothing too it. Hell the other night I was watching TV and it turned on trying to call someone. I have a hard time trying to turn it off, because I say Alexa, Off. It tries to call one of my contacts that starts with Office.

You people are being conditioned and you don't even realize it. Slavery comes not from a jackbooted thug kicking down your door, but in the guise of making life convenient.
