As long as they're pissed at poor people and democrats, they won't look and really see how both parties are the same. What's silly is how little of taxes actually make it to the people they hate so much. We want to talk about welfare? Look military spending and you'll see the biggest welfare budget in history.

You have a seriously warped view of reality. If this is a commonly held view of progressives, this explains a lot.

Stagflation caused by horrible monetary policy and a host of other issues impacting material costs leads to higher asset prices. Eventually wages rise as people compete with inflationary pressures and the government to an extent for employees. The latency between initial inflationary pressures and wage increase spurs on additional irresponsible monetary policy.

Higher wages lead to higher prices (additional inflation)

Additional inflation creates need for even higher wages

Higher wages increase prices...

While this has always been a reality to a lesser degree, the MMT pressures on the Fed and treasury have accelerated big time in the last decade. Given that terrible monetary policy seems like it’s here to stay, it’s safe to say the purchasing power of the dollar is pretty well and fricked

If only we had an administration focused on growing our economy as opposed to forcing a mandatory salary floor we may not have run away inflation and business wouldn’t be forced to raise prices and salaries of everything due to ineptitude and ideology of the federal government.

No, they won’t. Any adult that starves in this country does so willingly. A 10 lb bag bag of rice costs less than $5 at Walmart and a lb of beans costs less than $2. It’s not glamorous. It’s not even all that tasty. But you’ll survive just fine and could damn near eat every lunch and dinner off of that for $30 for a month.
