To quote John Derbyshire, "The problem isn't the schools. The problem is the students".

Our solution to this problem is that we are moving to Idaho next summer. No integration necessary.

Except that Joe Biden will almost certainly bring back Barack Obama's program to mass import Arab and African "refugees" to the whitest areas of the country. Purposely targeting them to bring the gift of "enrichment" to "homogeneous communities".

You may run from the Third World, but Democrats are going to send the Third World to follow you.

single parent homes are a huge problem that no one wants to try to fix.

Well 50 years later, things sure seem to have worked out don’t they?

Once he graduated from Tara, Gipson exclusively attended historically Black colleges

So he went to an integrated high school only to then go to segregated colleges?

Outline for those who don't want to read the whole article: White people are evil for not wanting their kids to go to school with criminals and they're also racist for properly raising their kids and hold them accountable for their grades/behavior.

That’s where they’re wrong. There’s plenty of people who expected it.

i'm not really trying to mock people who went to SULC or anything, but how is one of the worst law schools in the US "special"? they didn't say

i mean, to be fair, LSU isn't special either. it's just the best public option in LA

Substitute Montgomery for Baton Rouge and the story would be the same.

White students are going to Southern because the could not get into LSU. They offer nothing “special”.

“ The most promising way to integrate any school, he said, is to offer something special. As an example, he noted the law school at Southern University, where White students make up about half the enrollment.”

The sad thing was that the schools weren't actually segregated. BR just had public schools that were majority white or black due to the racial distribution in the city.

All they did was destroy the decent schools. IIRC every non magnet HS in the city is F rated now except for Woodlawn which is a D.

It’s relatively cheap, the standards for entry are lower, and once you graduate, unless you go after some super highly sought after position with a high end firm, nobody gives a shite where your law degree came from. Not that hard to understand, really.

That's because EBR schools are a dumpster fire. No self-respecting person would send their kids to any of those schools and that includes Baton Rouge High

After reading the article and seeing him describe his experience, I can't say that I blame him.
