Are there any affordable dentists left in south LA for someone without dental insurance besides the LSU dental school? 60 mile radius from BR if possible.

Cheaping out on dental work is such a great idea.

You get what you pay for
And when you tell them cash up front you get a decent discount

He's in Metairie, but Vince DiLeo is the only dentist I've ever fully trusted. Graduated #1 or #2 from LSU Dental (can't remember exactly which).

For dentistry? IDK, man, there are a lot of snake oil salesmen in the field. The correlation between price and quality is tenuous at best.

Them days are over. Insurances have cut payouts and dentists are far less inclined to offer discounts to cash paying customers.

Louisiana Dental Center - but they are hit or Miss
Also, Premier Dental Care on Highland - not saying they are affordable - but they aren’t outrageous and are a better than Louisiana Dental Center
Find a place you like and see if you can get a line of credit from care credit (or whatever it’s called now) - if the work is over a certain amount sometimes they have no interest for a set amount of months

Louisiana Dental
There's also some dental offices now doing in-office membership plans (so you wouldn't have to deal with insurance). It basically pays for a whole year of cleanings but gives you a disocount on treatment needd.
Good luck

Yeah I went the Cadillac route and went to an oral surgeon when I needed my wisdom teeth pulled.

It actually is. Dental work has a high cost. There are a few dentist that operate in the us and Mexico to skirt this. You see them in the states fit consultation and then go to TJ or NL for procedure by same dentist.
I know people who've gotten work in portugal and Thailand. Each case they paid less for a titanium implant than a crown cost here.

Have your been quoted?
If I had to guess, about $1250.

I used to go to Dr DiLeo but I switched to another dentist because I felt that everytime I went he tried to upsell me on something.
The last time I went to him he claimed that I needed two fillings replaced ASAP, or else. I thought it was BS. A few months later I went to a different dentist and he did not say a word about replacing fillings. Five years later, still no problems with my fillings.

Pull it, you got plenty more. Or less.
