HHH will for sure say something Monday night. Not a whole promo because Vince doesn't like acknowledging the competition on tv but he'll make some little joke.
Cody using the 18 lb. sledgehammer on the throne was a direct shot across the bow of HHH's giant beak
if he sees it... he will NOT be happy and will want to respond

Billy Gunn will fill that same role as a vet helping develop the young guys
He's hired as a producer, not a wrestler.

There was absolutely no way, no matter what they would have done tonight, Shamless and Buchanan wouldn’t have marked out.
Their hate for WWE outweighs their love for AEW, so whatever they can say to make AEW seem superior, they’ll say it.
I wasn’t able to watch it and the final few sequences may have been great, but the way the normal AEW smarks acted tonight, I’m not the least bit surprised.

he wrestled tonight
and as a producer with a HoF career under his belt... he will be coaching the guys along the way

I legit hope they do well. I'm not a wwe or aew fanboy. I just like rasslin. Let's see how they handle weekly tv. That's a big deal.
I agree. I hope it pushes WWE hard and makes them change a few things and tells the boards who actually run the show to frick off. The big money is what is killing the WWE, IMO.
The only people I hope fail are the AEW smarks who wont STFU every week. When every week they claim to never watch WWE and there they are in every WWE thread every week watching something they despise. And act like AEW is infallible.
Let’s be truthful here. They’re the BAMA fans of pro wrestling fans

To be fair bama has at least won something. Right now all aew has done is run 2 shows? Like I said... I hope that they do well.... but the dude who suggested that people learn to suck dick to make 50 bucks probably would be saying the same if AEW simply replayed heros of wrestling.

regardless if you like WWE or AEW this is a great thing for the wrestling business. AEW is the first promotion to come along since WCW with legit financial backing and already a large fan base ready to follow them.
mix that with the weekly TNT television deal and big name WWE stars desperately trying to get out of their contracts to come over, and you have a recipe for another great run like the mid to late 90's business was.
luring Dean Ambrose/Jon Moxley over was huge. according to Forbes he has been making a couple million dollars per year in WWE for several years now and he chose to walk away and he won't be the last one to do it either. WWE will finally be forced to get creative on a weekly basis again.

LMAO. “I hope AEW does well so WWE can be better.” Why not just hope AEW does well because it’s good? Pretty ironic for you to be calling someone a fanboy or smark.
I legit cancelled my subscription weeks ago and have not participated in any WWE event threads on here or elsewhere. It’s not like I’m some new wave fan or AEW had ANYTHING to do with me canceling. I didn’t cancel my NJPWworld subscription cause AEW is getting going. WWE just sucks and my patience completely ran out.
That’s what you and every other WWE fanboy doesn’t get. This isn’t a competition. it’s an alternative, and if AEW’s anything like tonight on a consistent basis, people finally have a good one. People are quitting WWE in droves to the point TV network execs are pitching angles to WWE to be used on TV, and oddly enough, the one idea the stupid network came up with (24/7 title) is the one idea they used and people apparently loved it judging by the squaredcircle reaction.
I will watch Takeover when it comes on Hulu btw as well before you start freaking out and spewing more hypercritical garbage. I will still watch the WWE that’s worth my time, including the AJ/Seth MITB match that aired literally 2 days before my sub expired and was fantastic. I’m just not going to financially support them anymore or waste my time on weekly TV.
WWE is simply what NJPW used to be to me a few years back. I will find the couple matches online worth a crap in a month if they have any noteworthy.
For you to be pissy that AEW fans are reaping the fruits of their trust and resources put in that were financially supporting WWE only to get burned by a 75 year old maniac who made their investment unbearable, well, that speaks volumes on you.
Feel free to enjoy WWE if that’s what floats your boat, but just know you’re a raging hypocrite for being in this thread and saying what you said.
ETA: oh I forgot, most importantly, the BAMA comment is the dumbest of them all. The guy supporting the huge Goliath with so much talent it doesn’t know what to do with...is calling the upstart AEW fans BAMA fans.

About the only thing WWE can do to make me give it another shot right now is for Vince to step down and have HHH run the thing. He at least gives me hope.

I’m going to set my DVR to check it out. I’m not anti anything. I’m just anti smarks acting like this whole thing is God’s gift to wrestling fans.
Look at Tor nations post earlier. Best in the history of wrestling! OMZG!
Come on man. That’s all over the sites I read. It’s all over Twitter. Calm tf down. These guys have a long way to go to even THINK about being as good as Austin, Rock, DX, nWo.
I get it was probably emotional tonight, but pump the brakes, Sparky.

I was hoping that to be the case.....but they sure didn't play it that way tonight with all the shots.

WWE took shots at the HOF and started banning fans with their shirts at their events.
Somewhat understand the 2nd part but I dont remember them doing that with WCW fans

It reeks of competing which is fine.....just don't tell me AEW doesn't want to compete with WWE (as if they could at this point) and just wants to be "another option".

AEW Signs Superstar Jon Moxley to Multi-Year Deal
Mox Makes Presence Known at DOUBLE OR NOTHING
Las Vegas, NV (May 25, 2019) – In a night jam-packed with intense showdowns and incredible clashes, AEW rocked the wrestling world even further with a surprise appearance by international wrestling star Jon Moxley to close out DOUBLE OR NOTHING.
AEW confirmed tonight that it has officially signed Moxley to a full-time, multi-year agreement effective immediately. Moxley, who was twice voted as Most Popular Wrestler of the Year by Pro Wrestling Illustrated, will make his in-ring debut at FYTER FEST in Daytona Beach, FL, on Saturday, June 29.
“The arrival of Jon Moxley at Double or Nothing was the perfect ending to one of the most important nights in wrestling history,” said Tony Khan, President and CEO of AEW. “There was no better way to conclude an evening of new beginnings than with the introduction of the best free agent wrestler in the world. The chaotic scene that unfolded in the closing moments of Double or Nothing was emblematic of the unpredictability and explosiveness that Jon Moxley will bring to AEW. We’re very proud that Jon has signed a multi-year contract, and he is officially on the All Elite Wrestling roster!”

AEW is a total joke and I refuse to watch any of their product.
AEW fans remind me of gamers when the Nintendo Wii launched who did nothing but shite all over everything Nintendo because the Wii wasn't "hardcore" enough for them and only catered to "casuals" and how they kept hoping for Nintendo to fail and go 3rd party so real HARDCORE gaming companies like Sony and Microsoft could reign supreme
It's the same exact dynamic in play here
AEW caters to the smarks and neckbeards, and most of their fanbase are just bitter losers who are mad that however they wanted WWE to go didn't go their way. I used to work with the stereotypical neckbeard type who was a big wrestling fan but would always claim he isn't watching WWE anymore because whatever wrestler he was marking out for at the moment(usually a japanese one) wasn't going over as quickly as he wanted to. But then he would always come back and watch it.
