It's like Kevin Smith said, I'll spend my hard earned money to feel something special. If $50 is what it takes to make me enjoy wrestling again while at the same time rekindling the feelings and memories I have watching with my Dad and my Uncle growing up then thats $$ I'll spend every fkn time. This was awesome. SO GLAD I put faith in these guys to knock it out the fkn park.

I legit hope they do well. I'm not a wwe or aew fanboy. I just like rasslin. Let's see how they handle weekly tv. That's a big deal.

Dean/moxley is a very hard pass for me.

Jesus Christ that was a fricking great show. I’m floored. WWE better get it together!
At least we know NXT TakeOver will be good next weekend. Best of the Super Jr has been crazy. What a time to be alive as a wrestling fan!

This! Ppl need to stop being offended, you can actually like more than one brand and hope they lift each other up to give us better shows. Its a win win deal for us, the fans

Only got to catch the Omega match, but of that whole show was on par with what I saw in that match, all I can say is welcome back wrestling. They beat the ever living hell out of each other.

I'm actually looking forward to Raw now just to see how they respond. Not a bad start for a pissant company.
They cant respond because they are a TV-PG show.
AEW is pure ATTITUDE.
Will definitely not miss the next PPV. Was able to catch the matches via reddit.

Jon "Don't Call Me Dean Ambrose" Moxley is going to be 1 of the cornerstones of AEW
obviously the BtE guys (Cody. Omega, Bucks)... but you saw who will be the lifeblood of the company in these opening months
they actually have some good wrestlers to build around
the company has a good starting base

Yea I spent my 50 and they can take my money from here on out. This was a historic event. Unbelievable ending as well. They really put on a 10/10 show!
It exceeded any and all my expectations.
Production was near WWE level (and that’s a major compliment cause WWE has perfected that aspect over decades) once the idiot who probably did 10 lines of coc stopped switching cams every second.
Every single match delivered or was better than I thought.
Cody and Dustin was an intense emotional ride.
YB vs LB was a showcase of new age tandem tag team wrestling.
Kenny and Jericho beat the everliving shite out of each other.
I didn’t expect a Moxley type on this event because the event was good enough to be all the hype and set the tone for the company and they even said frick that, let’s ramp this bitch up to 12.
Jericho is so fricking money. I’m glad he had the balls to take this leap. His Double or Nothing Talk Is Jericho got me more hyped before this show than any of the other buildup. He’s so damn good at improv too like getting rid of the barrel. All the details are so good. The fact he’s able to have these matches in NJPW and AEW at 48 is also insane. Every time he goes for a spot where he’s actually flying around, I expect it to be a car crash, and it just ends up working. For that body to be doing what it’s doing is just hilarious at times. I laugh at how good he is at times.
I’m also really glad Kenny lost. I didn’t want the Elite to sweep for one. One of the huge matches needed to not feel like an Elite circle jerk. For two, this section of fan already knows Kenny is the shite, and this re-establishes Jericho as a top guy. You don’t want it to be Kenny (and now Moxley I guess) alone at the top. It also shows, unlike WWE, the top guys can lose and makes it feel more like a legitimate competition where some guys just have it that night. Need a level of unpredictability to remain exciting.

HHH will for sure say something Monday night. Not a whole promo because Vince doesn't like acknowledging the competition on tv but he'll make some little joke.

Oh you know he cant wait

At this point anything HHH can say will make WWE look like the pissant company.

I don't know what Jericho agreed to with AEW... but he's not a guy you're building around
he's a grizzled vet here to help give young guys legitimacy... why I believe he'll job to Page and Page will be the 1st AEW World Champ... Billy Gunn will fill that same role as a vet helping develop the young guys
Moxley may end up as your top heel... and that'll be great... I think he'll be an excellent heel
Hangman Page has what it takes to be a star face
the guy who nearly "stole" the battle royal will be a top heel
I think they set up Jungle Boy as a top face... we'll see how that works
but I like the foundation right now

Oh man also huge shoutout to Excalibur. I think that the announcing was maybe the weakest aspect of the show, and Excalibur really kept it from being a negative that detracted from the show. Marvez was kind of just there, and JR was a little out of his element (I expect him to get better to be fair, and he actually improved slightly throughout the night).
JR mentioned recruiting Lawler. I can’t imagine AEW would be dumb enough to do that after seeing how much they had their hand on the pulse of the fan tonight, but that would be a huge bummer. You can’t say that the Attitude Era is behind us and then hire the AE announce team
Also, Justin Roberts was a nice low key pickup. His introductions for the matches were fantastic.
