'Aerial America' is the best show on TV that no one's heard about

You get to learn the history of every state in America while watching high quality drone footage during the hour long show. I'm absolutely addicted to it. It's on the Smithsonian Channel. They are showing Missouri right now.

It's great. The Louisiana one sucked though. It was very limited in scope.

I agree. The Aerial series on U S. cities, Africa, and Britain are also excellent. My only criticism is the narrator occasionally adds a political bent to his narration

The New York one was special to me. They flew over my summer house in Montauk.

The newer ones are better but they are all good. I get stuck on them all the time. That and How's it Made.

WTF? Two threads in one day. Chicken should start a Movie and TV Board.

I agree that it is interesting but the scope is limited, in part because everything is aerial rather than have extra footage added to show building interiors or street level views but also the content is limited. The Louisiana episode spent far too long talking about Angola.

I didn't even know about the other thread. I guess that poster and I were watching the same show at the same time.

Huge fan of this show. I could sit for hours watching it. I try and get the family to watch with me but they couldn't care less.
