most cases, they don't trust info they don't want to be correct. That's what is happening here. As more and more comes out showing how effective the vaccines are, more of the vaccine resistant are going with "well you can't trust anything they say". Then will run to post some misinterpreted bullshite showing the vaccines aren't as effective.
The CDC is doing a great job given the people you mention all the ammunition they need.

And the CDC just said vaccinated people are spreading it at the same rate as non-covid shot takers. What’s your point?
When sick. Come on may that is a major part of the equation that you are leaving out. When sick unvaccinated people are spreading it the same as vaccinated.

The CDC and really everyone for that matter should have been focusing on the unhealthy people getting vaccinated but hey we don’t want to “fat shame” so we focus on EVERYONE needs to be vaccinated including kids bc we don’t want to offend anyone!

Guaranteed one of two things:
1. Obese/diabetic
2. Used the ER as a Medicaid payer and the hospital obliged
These are facts.

So you still have a 10% chance of getting a life threatening case of COVID even after getting an experimental vaccine that has documented deadly side effects?
MATH!

Nah. They said that vaccines would be effective in not only protecting the individual from sever symptoms but also catching and spreading the virus. They were wrong on the latter. People do not trust those that are wrong and do not own up to it.

I don’t understand how this isn’t common sense
I’m sure most of the flu hospitalizations are from people who don’t get the flu shot

Everyone should get vaccinated because that's how getting herd immunity works. The whole reason for the everyone push is to cover the small percentages the vaccine doesn't work for and those who can't get a vaccine for medical reasons or have compromised immune systems.
This is something we all know about vaccines, yet people want to act like this is solely a personal choice.

Pretty sure the Flu shot’s effectiveness isn’t anywhere near that of the Covid vaccines.

We at Ochsner have more hospitalized patients than we did in our summer 2020 and winter 2020 spike, yet we are lretty much not seeing the elderly patients We are seeing MORE younger and not quite as unhealthy people than those waves Now, they are getting better and leaving sooner than those waves, but we officially do have more patients under 50 than before, not just a greater percentage
would these same patients have been turned away last year bc hospitals were full? meaning are hospitals admitting patents that would have been at home last year?

The vaccine supposedly provides excellent coverage to those who get it and the data seems to back that up. This virus also does not affect the young kids and babies at all who are unable to be vaccinated so at this point it really is just about personal protection.

How many in hospitals unvaxxed have had covid before?

How many genders are there? “Science” can be of questionable reliability.
And as long as this country’s leadership is demanding vaccines and lockdowns while maintaining open borders and being unconcerned in the slightest about the diseases being brought through those borders, they can molest themselves.

The initial numbers said 95% effective, which means 5% are already falling through the cracks. And to be clear, these 90-95% effective numbers are excellent but there are the %s who do t get good coverage. It appears those most at risk have a higher chance of a breakthrough, even if vaccinated and while the vaccines are helping them not die, hospitals aren't know for being cheap.
Then the unvaccinated end up taking up beds (well really nurse supply) unnecessarily when the fricking thing is free to you and provides demonstrated risk reduction in getting hospitalized or dying.
Immunity is part social and part individual immune system. Things like toilets and sewer systems are a social immune response to getting sick from poo. Obviously ones like childhood vaccinations, designed to have a wall of herd immunity despite knowing some won't have the desire immune response.
Framing it as a choice of personal protection is ignoring that's not how immunity really works, and let's people off the hook for considering what negative effects they might have on others.
