Boomers have been running things for a long time now. Hell, Biden is pre Boomer. You would think another generation would have stepped up by now. Nothing wrong with the 80’s, but the 70’s had better overall music.

I think a real argument can be made for the 70s-90s
That was my time and it was glorious! One of the most amazing aspects was that you didn't really need a phone all that much. shite just happened via relationships with friends and group meet up spots.

EL and Too Live Crew played a concert in Lafayette in 87?

Yes. They came through Baton Rouge too. They played at the River Center in the exhibition hall. My brother and his friends went. I was a little too young(12).

I was a child of the 80's and a teenager of the 90's.

I miss both.

If you had been old enough to experience the late 60s and early 70s then you would say that was the best time ever. Because I was there and it was.

I k8nd of agree. I was born in 1966 and the 70s were freaking awesome to grow up in as a small child then I was a teenager in the early 80s.

Graduated in 1990 and spent the next 6 years living as a single guy in Houston and had the absolute time of my damn life.

So I loved all 3 decades.

I loved walking around the school in the late 1970s and seeing all the ELO Out of the Blue foil record inserts in everyone's lockers.

Stadium rock bands were the best thing in the universe.

70s - elementary school and endless bike rides and adventures in the woods

80s - my first car, high school and college

90s - living my best life as a single adult in Houston

00s - married 2 kids, divorced

10s - married an OT10 living a great life

20s - started out shitty with covid we'll see where it goes

Yea I grew up in the 80s(b 1975). I don't think it was as great as it seems.
Looking back it was full of hardships and bullshite.

*Aids was lurking on toilet seats and in payphones

*Adam Walsh's dad had the entire country terrified their kid was going to be kidnapped. I did grow up down the street from Jody Plauche ironically.

*Nancy Reagan(Just Say No!) and Scarface had us believing cocaine was so addictive you could get hooked just by looking at it.

*WWIII with Russia was "imminent" and absolutely terrifying thanks to the movie, The Day After

*The Gulf Coast in particular was hammered by the Oil Bust in 1980s. Unemployment in La was double the national average. My dad kept his state job but didn't get a raise for a decade from 81 to 91.

Aside from the resurgence of the home video game industry with the NES and Sega Master System, I would have rather been born 10 yrs earlier in 1965.

Agree 80’s were awesome. HS grad in ‘82 and college in ‘87... fun continued up thru end of decade. The advent of computers, cell phones, and social media ushered in new era that killed any chance for return to simpler life before.

Would require forceful removal if they don't step aside. Boomers were gifted the greatest country and economy ever, turned it all to shite, blamed the problems on everyone else, and now refuse to hand over control to those more competent.

Things will get better over the next 10 years or so as they start getting into their 80s.
