Totally agreed
Kiss Alive 2 release was epic also on Oct of 1977.

That’s what I once thought as well, but no, Bon Scott was only involved in rough demos of a couple of songs.
Angus Young, Malcolm Young, and new singer Brian Johnson wrote all the songs
I don't believe Brian Johnson did any more than provide the vocals.
They've always said the entire album came together after Bon Scott's passing, but of course they'll say that. You've got to boost up the newest member, especially a lead singer.

I was expecting Moving Pictures, but this will do as well.

The entire album was fire. Im kind of partial to the lesser played Givin the dog a bone. It has something to do with my affinity to the ladies that master the oral arts.

Was it AC/DC whose vocal guy died... Was it during recording the album? Or maybe right before

Hey White Bear, who cringed at the OP statement:
#2 album in sales of all-time, behind Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller”.
LINK
Yes, it is a legendary album.

Most definitely, this thread made me pull up the album and listen to it for the first time in many years.
How did I not remember the song “Let Me Put My Love Into You” was on that album?
Great song
