January 17, 1991 - U.N. forces begin the liberation of Iraqi-controlled Kuwait with a massive aerial campaign and ground offensive.

I remember wearing this t-shirt to school and nobody complained or had an issue with it in middle school Different times.

With trump out of office, how long before we get into war in which we sacrifice our finest for the sake of something that in no way positively affects the American citizen?
Unless you are a defense contractor.

I knew something was about to go down. Was stationed Ramstein AB, Germany. It was used as one of the last stops for hauling everything to the Middle East. We fueled the planes. We were on 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week. A bunch of us dorm rats choose nights. Allowed the married folks to be home at night. We would drive a fuel truck for 12 straight hours. Dump the load on a plane, go refill. All night and day. Got to work on night and all of a sudden, nothing. No planes coming in, none going out. A couple days later our only radio and TV stations blacked out. Thats when shock and awe started.

The biggest critics of Hussein were originally his biggest supporters. Donald Rumsfeld was a special envoy to Iraq in the 1980's and recommended the US normalize relations with and remove them from the state sponsors of terrorism list. We were also providing them with monetary and military aid. The true criminals in this entire episode are the warmongers in the American political class.

I remember watching the Iraqis lighting up the sky with anti aircraft guns on the news. I remember what I was eating for dinner that night.

I also remember our crazy neighbor in the East come over with a few guns to speak with my dad about going to war. My dad was military.
I recall thinking, your guns aren’t going to reach around the world, buddy. I was 10.

It doesn’t matter the circumstances. They will lie and say that there are weapons of mass destruction, or they’ll show pictures and videos of people not having food or water (still happening today) and the media will work to help convince the average American that we need to go to war. Then we will, and the economy will suffer, we will lose good American lives, and we’ll end up paying for the rebuilding of the country we invaded. Meanwhile the defense contractors will be richer and we’ll have gained nothing but debt and death.
