Today: 30-yr mortgage rate is 6.02% & average new home price is $547k

Result: $28k increase in down payment (assuming 20% down) and 96% increase in monthly payment (from $1,343 to $2,628)

Thanks to a bunch of cowardly assholes, including 90+% of this board, who supported shutting down the world.

Cheers, mates.

Exactly.

We would be in the same exact situation with housing if Trump were still in office.

I bought my house in March 21 for $375K.

Zillow (probably not accurate) estimates it today at $442,800

Up 5% in last 30 days. Something must have juked the market in this area.

Was way too low and was never going to last even if Trump got reelected.

Oh, Scruffy absolutely does get to take a victory lap over being right on shutdowns.

If everyone took the same position I initially had of “I doubt anyone will know anyone who gets it” (clearly wrong ) and “we shouldn’t shut down anything at all”, we would be in a far better position now.

Why did no one listen?!

Locked my 30 year fixed at 2.875 in Jul 2020 and put 20% down

Now it’s time to ride out this Democrat and RINO induced shitstorm.
