12 year old girl arrested for murder in St Charles Parish

It sounds like she smothered him.

What a horrible situation for that family.

ETA: It just says a deadly weapon wasn't used. I guess it could have been other things.

If the baby was asleep in a crib or something similar something could happen quickly without the parents knowing. I won't assume criminal negligence on their part without more info

Released from juvi in four years. Won’t hear or know about it after that. Juvi laws in this state are really bad.

The whole scenario smells kind of fishy. I don't think a 12yr old kills a sibling out of nowhere without displaying major behavioral issues and living in troubled home environment.
