He’s seeking a trade and we need healthy pass rushers

Davenport will probably be ready for the season opener. Why trade away a cheap player for one that wants a big new contract? He supposedly wants to be the highest paid DE in the NFL

^^All of this, plus Yannick has been pretty darn good but not great, and Davenport could still prove to be equally as good

Because he’s a liability and if we’re going for it might as well shoot for the moon

Give me a year where Davenport has been great.
Half years don’t count.

because you want to make one more run...
Brees' last year, solidified the WR corps.
I'd do it for Davenport if there was any way to fit him under the cap and not give up a #1.

Can someone please explain to me what yalls issue with Davenport is? I really don’t get it

I think the longer he bitches the easier he could be had for a 2 or 3.
A one just gets it done immediately. However, since we won’t be seeing the players until training camp you could possibly need less to get.

Year 3 is usually the year you see what kind of player a pass rusher will be

Do you think its possible that EVERYONE on this board is wrong and you are right? Is that the most likely scenario here?
Look at the response to this and ask yourself? "Did i make poopy in my pants? Why me so tard?"

Why should I spend half my time acknowledging that your half assed premise is a bunch of bullshite spewed from your half IQ brain?

I forget you are sensitive.

Almost all National Football League (NFL) players who sustain tarsometatarsal (Lisfranc) joint injuries return to competition, but very few do so quickly, according to research from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia.
Of 28 players (11 offensive, 17 defensive) who suffered Lisfranc injuries between 2000 and 2010, only two never returned to NFL competition. The median time to return was 11.1 months from the time of injury, and only three players returned in less than three months.
Offensive power ratings (total touchdowns/6 + total yards/10) and defensive power ratings (total tackles + total sacks x2 + total interceptions x2) decreased slightly in the three seasons postinjury compared with the three seasons preinjury, but the decrease was not statistically significant. Similarly, the change in performance in the Lisfranc-injured players was greater than for a comparison group of players in similar positions from the 2005 season, but that difference was also not statistically significant.
The findings were presented in late March at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Soooo knowing some research done, the avg time period of rehab is 11.1 months. This means you won't see Davenport as Davenport until halfway through the season.
If you feel good about having 1 good DE for roughly 6 to 8 games in a stacked NFC South, then yes, my reasoning is wrong and void.
However, if we're truly going all in for a year, id take the guy who performs better and is available for 16 games a year.

I’m good with it. It is better than your alternative which is really dumb
