Unless we traded down in to the low 20's, I'd be pretty pisseed if we went WR in round 1 .

this is what I keep thinking will happen for some reason. It seems exactly like something Sean would do. Then Saints talk implodes.

It's going to implode with JJ is sitting there and we pass on him

Honestly Id prefer a stud defender but if they feel there isn't one there but there's a stud wr and traded down and got him is have no problem.

Patterson is my choice but I know most will disagree.

If we somehow got a 2nd rounder I think there will be some good wr there too.

this is my fear. jones is sitting there at 15 and we draft someone else. not even trade, just pick someone else

I know I'll be sitting there all worked up knowing JJ is a Saint, then all my hopes and dreams are crushed when the pick announced.

Just like when we traded up and drafted Jamaal Brown

After watching this defense last season, if Mingo, Jones, or Star are still there, then I'd be dissapointed.

Yes. There are no stud WRs in this draft (no Fitzgeralds or CJs). We need too much help elsewhere to use a pick on a slot WR or a talented head case outside WR.

If Jones is there he's a Saint IMO

I agree with this. And I'd want a guy like Patterson as well if they go that route.

That's why I don't believe any of these mocks/experts for a second.

They very well might wind up with Star and Mingo.

I think that's the next Nagta and Suggs of the NFL.

WANT SO BAD!!!

As to the OP.

I'd be upset if Jordan, Mingo, Jones, Star, Floyd, Ansaha, Joeckle or Fisher are still on the board.

I'd wouldn't be upset if they were all gone, but I'd rather Trufant or Ogletree.

There will be great receivers still left in the draft by the third round.

Not at 15. Trade back to the 20s and take a Patterson or the guy from Cal and I'd be alright with that.
Would have to get someone like Collins in the 2nd then IMo

This...I honestly can't see Sean Payton not drafting a Wr in this draft....Why draft Tavon that early, when you could get Ace Sanders, Denard Robinson, Marquess Wilson, Ryan Swope, or Darick Rogers and many many more....And I almost forgot someone I think we will strongly consider taking if he is there in the 3rd-Aaron Dobson.

I wouldn't actually. We are dangerously close to needing to address this area anyway. If Toon and Morgan can show that they are solid guys, then it wouldn't be such a big deal. At the end of the day though, I trust our front office with whatever decision they make.

Depends on who's still available at 15. If we pick Austin over Jones and Mingo or Lane Johnson I'll be pretty sad

That would be pretty damn bold.

But Mingo and Lutulilei would be nuts.

I really hope they feel the need to grab Austin to get some offensive firepower considering their miserable offense

I'd be ALL ABOUT getting Rogers, even if we had to move up to get him in the 3rd. He has more physical talent than anyone in our WR corps. He could be our Dez, Julio type.
