Especially if we put up more than 12 points with him on the bench? I can already see the pundits now, “they beat the Panthers much more convincingly without him.”

Direct your attention to the Green Bay Packers Week 17 game in 2011.

Breed lost the MVP in Dallas ... just look at the Vegas odds

Brees never had a shot. It was as always going to be Mahomes. They were searching for a reason to not have to award it to Brees.

Let me say this again, I don’t care if he wins the mvp or not, it’s a damn media driven award. Now the super bowl and super bowl MVP, sign me up

At this point I hope he never does win an MVP. It'll just go to further prove how the MVP award is a joke and how he was snubbed his entire career. If he wins even one then it will be used as an excuse as to why he's not one of the best ever since he only won one MVP award.

Most people agree with that. I do too. But if you’re a Saints fan and it doesn’t bother you he hasn’t gotten one yet.... well, I don’t believe you.

They just surveyed half the GMs around the league and most said Brees deserves it.

He is 100% in the running, this statement is asinine lol.

No

And no, that won't happen.

And, no. It won't.

I mean his big two advantages have shrunk dramatically and to the point that one, passer rating, is almost the same and likely Mahoney will surpass him this weekend there.

He simply palpated poorly despite the team winning for four straight weeks. Machines loss some games, but played well in those. That is the difference.

Is this supposed to be one of those joke threads because your name is "TeddyB"

If not, it's still stupid

Imagine believing this. That the media, as a whole, is searching for a reason to deprive the Saints of something.

Vegas says otherwise. Mahomes will be the MVP.

I just read an article on ESPN that breaks it out and it is closer then you might think. I think Mahomes has the edge but he is by no means the run away pick.

The only way Drew gets it is if the Raiders beat the Chiefs.

Yes, because Vegas is always right.

Both chiefs and Saints needed a win to lock down home field and first rd by, and rest week 17.

In a nationally televised game, Drew Brees led a 4th Qtr comeback to seal the deal.

In a game an hour later in prime time, Mahomes failed to win the game on his 4th Qtr drive.

And Mahomes is the MVP?

Tells you all you need to know.

Panthers are playing their 3rd string QB so I don't think that matters.
