Will this be the year we draft a prospect to groom at QB?

Given Brees’ struggles, #Saints are preparing for life after Brees. Expect them to draft a QB high this draft. They wish they did last year

Lol, not that high, maybe a 5th or 6th rounder at best.

Besides Mariota, Goldson, and Hundley, who is even worth drafting?

Yea, kind of feel the same way. Last year was the year to do it.

Brees arm was starting to fade before he got his contract. Now you can't seriously sit here and tell me he's worth even half the money he's being paid. Either take a pay cut and stay a few more years or groom and say good bye to brees.

We gunna tank like the 76ers thr rest of this season.
Get a top 5 pick
Trade that and Jimmy Graham to get the Raiders #1 pick.
Draft Mariota

Brees is still at least a 15 Million dollar QB

Drew is a 20 million qb, we need to give him better protection

I'd do it next year. Brees still has a few years left

Lol if only. We aren't giving Jimmy up unfortunately, and we need the guy really. Dude is a TD machine, and I could care less about all this "soft" business.

That being said, I also think Mariota will be a good NFL player. He obviously won't be able to run as much, but I think he is the best passing dual-threat QB in this draft. Nobody else even comes close to his caliber in the pocket.

This upcoming draft is a good time to invest in a QB and start grooming him. Drew has no more than two more good years left in him. Better to get a QB now and start working with him, then wait for Brees to get injured/completely regressed and scramble for one.

Only thing the team has to consider is that if we do draft one early, as soon as Brees puts together a string of bad games, there's going to be an inevitable QB controversy dividing fans, players, coaches, management/ownership.

Holy shite dude. You're an idiot. Look at the contracts of Flacco, Dalton, and Caepernick. Drew is worth every bit of his contract. He has a trash interior o line and no true #1 WR anymore and is still on pace for over 5,000 yards and 35+ TD's.

Exactly. People are quick to blame Drew even when he is running for his life most of the time

He's still has the most accurate deep ball in the NFL statistically

This thread is made my brain hurt
