Why is everyone believing T. Hill will be the starting QB this week?

Sean Payton is playing games with everyone, evident by how coy he was with the media on not knowing who the starter would be, and then leaking that Hill has been taking starter reps in practice.

Hill may take the very first snap, but Winston will be the QB with the most snaps in the game. Why else did Winston start the 2nd half last week when Brees was out. You mean to tell me that Hill wasn't prepared to be the starter at that time, but he will by this week? C'mon Man.

P.S. I think Winston will be a disaster if he doesn't make better decisions and turns the ball over too much, which in my opinion, he will even if they coach him up to be protective of the ball.

Let's all hope our defense is playing lights out and our running game looks really good.

Name one other time a coach has lied about who was starting.

They don’t do that.

Because he took all of the starter reps in practice this week perhaps?

Yeah I’m sure Payton played games all week by not allowing Jameis to take any first team snaps. Instead he’s going to send Jameis in with literally no reps with the first team so that he can pull one over on the falcons!

Because Hill was already involved in the gameplan for that game in other roles. So if you put Hill at QB the rest of the game then that eliminates some of the plays you had planned for in the game and then you essentially have to rewrite the entire gameplan on the fly in the 2nd half of a game that was still close. Going with Jameis in that moment was less disruptive to your current gameplan than if you put Taysom there.

Now that the game is over and we're looking to Atlanta, now you have time to come up with a new gameplan and sit down and take the time to properly evaluate which QB is the best choice moving forward, and apparently Payton thinks using Taysom full time is the best route. At least for this week's game, that could easily change the week after.

The main point I'm making here is just because Sean went with Jameis in the middle of a game doesn't mean he's going to go with him in the future.
